Hello from my little island in the rain.

I've done some crazy things on top of that mountain of late, but I think this has to take the biscuit

Andreas Aerodrome at the north of the island was used as a pilot school for Spitfire and Hurricane pilots. We borrowed a film prop for our "Island At War" celebrations. It is equipped with a Morris 1000cc engine which drives the propeller, allowing it to taxi under its own power. We took it up the hill in pieces and put it back together at the summit. A fully wet Spit has a wing loading of about 27lb/sq ft and this mockup weighs somewhat less, so I don't know how long it will stay put...
